TRIP ITINERARY:
DAY ONE WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15TH - L-D INCLUDED.
Experience 100 years in a matter of days. Visiting historic French Lick, Indiana is like stepping back into time where visions of bootleggers and Chicago gangsters visiting for the weekend to get away from the hustle & bustle of the big city.
They are all apart of local historical flavor and folk lore. Today it is still removed from the hurry up life and more populated areas ,yet provides touist with a wide array of acivities.
We'll depart our pickup locations at 6:00am and travel to French Lick,Indiana. We'll make a stop for breakfast along the way
and upon arrival enjoy a walking tour of the French Lick Resort. Its an historical tour complete with information about its historical guest,such as Presidents FDR and Ronald Reagan.
Next we are off to the Beechwood Inn for a delicious lunch. Built in 1915, the original owner was Mr.Charles Edward Ballard.
He also owned the West Baden Springs Hotel. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is unique!
After lunch we'll reboard our motorcoach and move on to Lake Patoka for a scenic cruise on the Patoka Voyager,a 60 passenger tour boat and cruise this 8800 acre Lake with many species of wildlife including bald eagles,and osprey nesting sites.
Our afternoon touring ends with our check in at the French Lick Resort. Enjoy the evening on your own with time at the casino or simply relax in a rocking chair or maybe take part in a mineral bath or message (on your own.)
Dinner is included tonight at the Colonnade Buffet restaurant.
DAY TWO THURSDAY OCTOBER 16TH- (B-L)
We begin our day with a breakfast buffet at our hotel and then board the motorcoach and head to the fabulous West Baden Springs Hotel for a tour.
After our visit we'll reboard our motorcoach and head to the French Lick Winery to enjoy some award winning wines and enjoy a fantastic lunch.
Then we are off to ride on the French Lick Scenic Railway & visit the Museum.
Depart for home with rest stop enroute and arrive back approx 815pm
